If you aren’t a fan of vegetables,
then I simply do not understand you.
I think vegetables are God’s gift to the food world.
Vegetables and chocolate.
(Separately. duh. Who do you think I am? a nasty person?)
That’s basically my diet.
Oh!! and rice. I love rice. Brown rice. Yum.
BUT if you are one of those fellas that simply will not, can not, and does not eat vegetables, then YOU ARE IN LUCK!!
Sweet potatoes are veggies.
Don’t let the “sweet” cause you to think otherwise.
For all you health freaks out there–
These guys are low in Sodium, Saturated Fat, and Cholesterol & PACKED with Dietary Fiber, Vitamin B6 and Potassium, Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Manganese.
I mean, sweet potatoes are like a hub of health…
Now imagine eating a vegetable that tastes like a dessert in the form of your favorite greasy food: french fries.
• One Sweet Potato
• Extra Virgin Olive Oil
• Salt & Pepper to taste
STEP 1 – Preheat oven to 450
STEP 2 – Cut ends off of the potato
This helps prevent the tips of the fries from burning
STEP 3 – Cut lengthwise into segments
STEP 4 – Cut those segments into more segments
(see where I’m going with this..? You’re so smart)
STEP 5 – Coat potato with oil, salt, pepper, and whatever else sounds good
STEP 6 – Spread the fries far apart on the sheet
If they are too close, then they don’t cook correctly.
No one likes a soggy fry.
STEP 7 – Cook for 10 minutes
STEP 8 – Flip the fires (Caution: HOT)
STEP 9 – Cook another 5-8 minutes depending on how crispy you like your fries
Who said fries can’t be healthy?
Eat your veggies.
Recycle your old produce into something weird and new.
Blah, blah, blah.
